New Farm Stand Opens in Afton, VA
AFTON, VA – June 6, 2025 – Eventide Farm is proud to announce the grand opening of its brand-new farm stand, offering the Afton community and surrounding areas a vibrant destination for locally grown and produced food, flowers, and handcrafted goods.
Located on the Nelson 151, just 1.3 miles south of Blue Mountain Brewery, the Farm Stand at Eventide is more than just a place to shop—it’s a celebration of local agriculture and small business. Alongside products grown and made at Eventide Farm, the stand features items from six partner farms and local artisans. Visitors can expect fresh seasonal vegetables, cut flower arrangements, farm-fresh eggs, baked goods, herbal products, preserves, artisanal crafts and more—all sourced within the region.
“Our goal is to contribute to our local food scene and our community economy,” said Eventide Farm owner Lauren Valentine. “That’s why we’ve partnered with other small farms and crafters. This farm stand is a place where folks can come get the freshest food and most locally produced goods available.”
The farm stand currently partners with:
• Lone Willow Homestead – eggs and whipped tallow
• Rooted and Grounded Farm – plant starts, seasonal vegetables,
eggs
• Oakshire Farm – lard soap produced by forage-raised heritage pigs
• Laura Aldridge Art – Handmade art prints and notecards reflecting
the Blue Ridge
• C. S. Coll Spoon & Co. - Handcrafted wooden spoons and utensils
• Knuckle Head Hiking Sticks- locally foraged and finished hiking
sticks for kids and adults
Open every Wednesday through Saturday, from 10:00am-7:00pm for self-serve shopping, the farm stand a welcoming, family-friendly stop for locals and travelers alike.
The Farm Stand at Eventide is located at 11254 Rockfish Valley Highway in Afton, VA.
